Effective February 22, 2021, there will be a change to our Service Level Agreement (SLA) for TiDB Cloud. From this date, all paid TiDB Cloud on-demand clusters will be available with a monthly uptime percentage of at least 99% during any monthly billing cycle. Our SLA guarantee will not apply to any free or trial TiDB clusters.
This SLA change is temporary and is to accommodate the launch of our TiDB Cloud Public Preview. During the Public Preview, users will receive discounted pricing on our on-demand clusters, as well as benefit from a free trial of our TiDB Cloud service. We hope to encourage developers to deploy it in applications, backend services or database workloads to see what benefits TiDB Cloud can bring to the most demanding workloads.
Upon exit of the TiDB Cloud Public Preview to General Availability (GA), we will revise our SLA guarantee accordingly to meet the needs of our customers.
